Why Our 360 Cookware Materials Matter
The food we cook is only half the story. The tools we cook with are just as important. Toxic-free cookware by 360 gives you the peace of mind that what you are cooking and what you cook with are good for your body.
Know The Materials That Go Into 360 Cookware
Just as you carefully choose the cut of meat or freshness of produce that you cook, you should carefully choose chemical-free cookware that provides a healthy and safe cooking experience. The materials in 360 Cookware are safe, sustainable and of the highest quality.
Construction Of Our Cookware
Here’s what goes into your waterless 360 Cookware. Every piece of 360 Cookware is made of three primary metals that are bonded together with a .110 gauge (2.7 mm) of thickness. The inside layer, or cooking surface, is T-304 Surgical Grade Stainless Steel, 18/8. That 18/8 refers to the percentage of chromium and nickel in the metal. In this case, it’s 18% chromium and 8% nickel.
The outside layer that sits on the burner is T-400 series stainless steel, which has a lower nickel content and high carbon steel content to interact on induction cooktops. These two layers of stainless steel surround a layer of aluminum. The aluminum does not touch your food, but ensures superior heat conduction and even heating.
Construction Of Our Bakeware
Just like our cookware, 360 Bakeware offers safe and high-quality products. Our bakeware has a .07 gauge of thickness, which is designed with T-304 surgical grade stainless steel on the interior and exterior. This surrounds a heat-conducting aluminum core. These layers are bonded together to ensure your food never comes into contact with soft metals such as aluminum, non-stick coatings or other potentially-hazardous elements.
Do you know why our stainless steel cookware pans do not stick? We use a dry sanding process on all of our products that give them a non-porous surface. No more chemical coatings! Our cookware and bakeware is always PFAS, PFOS, PFOA and PTFE FREE.This process allows for easy cleanup, too.
Why Are Layers—Or Plies—Important To My Cookware?
If you’ve done a little cookware research (and we hope you have!), you’ve probably heard a few different terms relating to the number of “layers” in your cookware.360 Cookware primarily uses stainless steel. Stainless steel is a safe, non-porous surface that transfers no harmful chemicals into your food. However, it’s not a great conductor of heat. On the other hand, aluminum conducts heat very well, but it can leach harmful metal into your food. Think of these two metals as being the chocolate and peanut butter in a Reese’s® Cup. Alone, each has its pros and cons, but together—WOW!When multi-ply construction was first mastered and became accepted in the cookware industry, marketers had to find a way to make their brand seem superior. It quickly became a race to see who used the most “layers.” But this sales tactic misinformed consumers—it’s not the number of layers that matter, it’s the thickness, or gauge. 360 Cookware has one of the thickest measurements at .11″.
What is Waterless Cookware?
This cooking method is arguably one of the best-kept secrets in the food preparation industry. The premise is quite simple—construct the cookware to retain heat and moisture, and build it to operate at lower temperatures. The result is food that cooks faster in its own juices, requiring little to no additives. Your food tastes better naturally, nutrients are retained and you receive the benefits that nature intended.
Do you have to cook using the Vapor® Cooking Method?
Absolutely not! One of the many benefits is that it allows you to cook as you always have, if you so desire. TheVapor® Cooking Methodis a feature that can be used to enhance your current menu.
What Makes This Cookware Healthy?
By using the Vapor® Cooking Method, you are able to remove oil, butter, lard, etc. from your cooking process. This small change can remove over 1,500 calories from your diet each week.In addition, cooking vegetables without water retains vitamins and nutrients that you are currently pouring down the drain. You also can cook foods at lower temperatures, which further reduces the chances of losing valuable nutrients.
